In the true spirit of our real estate roots, the CREW Community Service effort involves many hands-on projects ranging from the design and construction of the labyrinth at the Grace Montessori School in Allentown, to the building of the display house within the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Whitehall, to its latest project of the building of a playhouse to be raffled off to benefit Habitat for Humanity. CREW Lehigh Valley is a very generous group of individuals and companies.
CREW volunteers have spent many hours supporting the Sixth Street Shelter (a safe haven for homeless families with children). Our members have watched children so parents could attend meetings to develop a range of family-building skills. We have also organized classes in smart grocery shopping, and have held numerous collection drives for food, clothing, and baby supplies to support the ever-growing needs of shelter families. Other activities of the CREW Community Service Committee include catering a dinner for Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital pediatric patients and their families and also supporting Turning Point of Lehigh Valley and the Children’s Home of Easton with Christmas gifts for individuals who might otherwise have a cheerless holiday.
